The AXLES (halfshafts) were all the same. There was a performance rearend ratio of 3.31 to 1. Standard was 3.07. Rotate the rear tires one full revolution and count the number of times the driveshaft rotates. That will be the rearend ratio.
Pretty sure the option code for the 3.31 gears was G92.
G92 is the GM RPO code for the fitting of a optional
"Rear axle performance ratio "; not the ratio itself
The other "G" code on the label identifies the actual ratio.
GW4 is 3.31
'85+ autos with the G92 option got 3.07 gears;
RPO G44
If you want to find out what rear end you have, crawl under there and look on the housing....
No before some wise guy tells us that there is no way to verify that the gears weren't already changed/modified........Let's assume the rear end is not molested.
The gear ratio will be etched or stamped on the outside of the housing.
That explains that! Mine has the later style door handles and had the RPO codes in the storage space behind the driver.
BTW, I love the early style handles!
A few other interesting things, early 84's had D321 on the shift indicator and later ones had D circled D21. Early cars also had hatch struts that let the hatch go very high.
Rubber seals from inner fenders to hood also extended about 3 inches back on the front fenders.
Back in 1988 my brother had a very late 84 and I had an early one. It was fun seeing the production changes that were made.
All Z51s came with the performance axles. Half of the Corvettes made in 1984 were Z51 equipped. The driveshafts as well as the halfshafts on the Zs were aluminum. The ones in the base suspensions were steel.
In my vin it has the codes AY instead of YY. According to the book then I have a "celebrity corvette". Does that mean it was made for someone like Jack Nicholson?
The 410 that came with the G92 were the base cars.
That is not what the production figures show.
Only 410 out of 51,500 '84 buyers selected the OPTIONAL G92 ratio. The rest got the base ratio

If a car has "options" then it is no longer a base car is it?
Base being defined as the bare minimum a car comes from the factory with ; no option boxes ticked
Base rearend ratio for '90 auto was 2.59
RPO G92 got the 3.07 you have in yours

Base car can mean different things. In C4's it is a non Z51. In C6's it is used to describe a non Z51 or a 1LT car which is the base package. Adding a few options doesn't mean it is no longer a base car IMO.
