I just received a used stock base from a guy on the Forum. After it is hot tanked, I intend to siamese the adjacent base runners per this reference: http://www.geocities.com/softtailduece01/
The main difference is that I won't siamese the AS&M LT runners which will go with the modified base. Then if things don't work out I can still go with a BM base & LTs, per the original project.
I hope to have the project installed for the next dyno day at Raceway Park to see if the benefits are as advertised (Hopefully it ain't just another snake oil).
In any case I'll post the new dyno pulls on my site, next to the ones from last Fall.
Re: Siamesing stock base with LT runners. (mackeyred96)
Thanks John.
When I dropped it off for hot tanking I discussed my concern about the close phasing on #5 & #7 causing a righ condition on those cylinders with the guy at the engine shop. He thought it shouldn't be a problem, so I'm feeling pretty posive about this project.
