Finally was able to get one out here in the sticks where I live and it's awesome. I was using DirecPC before which was much better than dial-up but not even near this cable modem. I was one of the guys you see in the commercial jumping on my car when I received my first phone call while online :D .

I have a Motorola SB4100 cable modem. It's great. You can hit the standby button (external model) and take your PC offline whenever. Combined with a good firewall like Zone Alarm, the standby button keeps hackers out while you're in a non-internet application.

Now go to http://www.dslreports.com . Go to tools and run a tweak test, speed test and line test. The tweak test will help you change some settings like rwin and really get the speed up.

I have been spending so much time on the NEW speedy computer, I haven't been attending to my practice tree... I'll be on it (the practice tree) between now & Sat. for the Corvette Challenge opener..I'm gonna be On come this Sat. :)
