Default transmission advice

i have a 94 lt1 ,transmission is stock with a shift kit and a 3,000 stall vig convertor, tranny cooler. Well this morning i was doing some errands and when I left my barber my cars tranny was slipping a little more than usually considering the stall it has.On the way home my mil lamp came on and it didn't want to go into overdrive.Got home and checked the fluid which seemed a little high but I don't know how level my garage floor is,when I looked the mil lamp was off.Decide to check codes and it has 5 codes all related to the tranny issues,dtc81,82,84,90,97. All these codes are in the history and did not come up as current codes,i believe these codes were from the last time i ran at the strip and found out my car still has a stall wall issue that i thought was fixed. My question is why didn't i get a current trans code since the mil came on? Is my tranny just dying, clutch packs ,etc or can a selinoid be bad ,or something i might be able to fix without buying a new transmission.

i am going to take it around the block and see if it still feels like its slipping and by the way had no slipping issues at all before this morning.thanks for any help
