Problems with my tranny....
Hello all. I just had my transmission rebuilt on my '93, picked it up this morning... it shifted way too late, and rarely into overdrive... picked it up again later that day, the guy had readjusted something, so now it shifts sometimes at normal RPMs, not like 3500 as it was earlier.. And now since i've been driving it awhile longer, it's sometimes not even shifting out of first under easy acceleration and it's makin' some kinda "tick tick tick" sound at speed. What the heck!!! What kinda adjustments can be made to make it shift at acceptable intervals. ANY ideas are GLADLY accepted. I'm losing sleep over this! (it's 12:45 AM) :nonod:

Try this, get up to a speed of about 30 mph. Put the car in neutral, quickly blip the throttle to full. Don't over rev the motor, in other words, get off the gas quickly, but make sure it goes all the way to the floor.
That works about half the time, if that doesn't work, come back and we'll explain the more complicated way.
