4+3 transmission and overdrive fluid capacities
What are the oil capacities of the 4+3 manual transmission and the overdrive unit? My Hayes manual fails to list those. I have a 1987 model.

1.75 quarts for the overdrive unit. I think it is 4 quarts for the 4-speed, but i am not positive.

you only have to fill them to the bottom of the fill plug hole , then put the plug back in

Resurrecting this thread from the dead!
So...I have a 86 manual 4+3 that needs tranny fluid. Where does one actually ADD the tranny fluid?!?! I can't find a place to add it and I'm afraid this is going to involve getting it up in the air - which will be difficult for me.
Anyone got any pointers?!?!

To answer your question, yes, you will need to get under your car to add trans fluid (both gear oil for the manual portion and atf for the od).
