Default VATS Module question

Just curious, if one was to replace the ECM/MEMCAL on an 87 Vette is the VATS Module inline but separate from the ECM/MEMCAL?

Thanks

Yes separate and it can be programed out so you do not have to deal with it at all. If you go here http://www.tunercat.com/tnr_desc/do_tc.html
you can see the list of other things that can be deleted or changed at the same time to suit what you are doing with the engine.

Dave

Thanks for that info... I always wanted to do some prom programming!

Looks like my choices are TunerCat or Moates?

My situation is that I would like a package deal to do both style OBD1 ecms: TPI MEMCALS and my old 88-90's Chevy trucks with TBI & 1227747 ecms.

No
Moates for the hardware ( chip programmer and adapter for chip )
http://www.moates.net/burn2-chip-pro....html?cPath=31
http://www.moates.net/gp1-package-gm....html?cPath=31

TunerPro or TunerCat for the software
http://www.tunerpro.net/

TunerPro has def files for most GM ECM's with removable memcals

You also need a cable to connect your laptop if you want to datalog

It appears that Moates has software that is purchased and is not transferable and TunerPro is free (donations).

So as you suggested..Moates for the hardware and TunerPro for the software.

Thanks
