Broken Pawl Rod Clip
Has anyone had an issue with their door lock malfunctioning due to a broken pawl rod clip? I'm researching this problem, and came across someone whose door locked and refused to open again. They found that this was due to broken clips. I was just curious if this was a common problem among Corvettes. Also, does anyone know what type of polymer the clips could be made of? This information does not seem to be readily available anywhere.

Never had a problem with the doors. I've read of people having problems with the plastic clip breaking for the blend door on the A/C heat.
Though, those clips can break at any time since they are plastic and they are old. If you have the door panel tore into. It would be a good idea to replace them. You can get them from the dealer.
