Default Question About Forced Induction.

I have a 94 LT-1 Vette with about 60K miles on it and was thinking about a system from Vortec. How hard would it be to install, I mean as far as mods being done to the pulley drive, other sensors, computer work? ect.
If anyone would post any pics that would be great also! thanks....

This is not a complete answer as you ask a complicated question.

With your mileage you want to go with a subtle amount of boost, 4-6 PSI.

Installing a blower onto a LT1 Vette is possible but requires some time. I think the shop that did mine took 40 hours to do the install (with some other mods) and I've read 30 hours is reasonable.

At a minimum, look at upgrading your fuel pump (add booster pump) and using a FMU (boost sensitive fuel management unit). Also use a ignition box with timing retard function.

If you keep off using the power too much you should be okay for a little while. If you want some real power you will need to rebuild your motor with lower compression and stronger bottom end.

If you want to look over the whole install process goto http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com and download the installation manual for the LT-1 Corvette supercharger.
