Getting a bit excited about this swap. Getting very close to getting it. Figured I'd share some of the pics with you guys I have so far. Not real sure on the specs of everything but its a 383 bored 60 over.
I'm using the heads I already have and will still be using the HSR intake.
I also finished up my dual exhaust a couple of weeks ago. I went with a LT1 3 in stainless steel, so she'll be able to breathe.
Never did a engine swap before and looking forward to it.

sounds like you can't wait...now you will be able to do all the little stuff (more projects) that you don't like while you're in there, it should be good.

Ed, If Im not mistaken thats the (Pet block) that Pete never wanted to sell. It was tested and found to have plenty of metel left after the 60 overbore and he wanted to keep it for a project..Your a lucky man.. If it turns out like my motor did from Pete (and Im sure it will) you will be very happy with the final outcome..Trust Me, he builds great motors....Hope we can see it at Carisle next year...WW

It will be a 388.
His cam will hopefully come in next week. It is gonna be a "perfect" grind, in my opinion.

It needed to go .060, as the previous .040 bore had approx .004 taper. This occurred from 10 years of street/strip duty.

I've got plans to clean up a lot in there Mick. A lot of little fittings I don't like for the vac set ups and a few parts are getting sent out for powder coating.

Pete, I assume you got the box I sent?

Nope. This is a studded 2 bolt main, and will stay that way. Ed does not plan to make a ton of power, or spin it very high. I was likely way more abusive to this block than Ed will ever be, so he should be ok.

Custom grind hydraulic roller cam, spec'd by me.
I will let Ed post specifics.
The emissions part was a joke. This build did not factor in emissions at all.

No need for me to worry about a "emissions" test here. Car is to old so they only go after the basics. Lights/horn works so it passes..

Pete you can post the specs if you want I don't really know them off hand.
I've put all my trust in Pete and know it will be a awesome build in the end. I use one of his convertors as well an its top notch!

Petes gotta get some stickers made cause in the end it will be a ride built by petek motorsports...

I want to get in on the dyno as soon as its all set to get some numbers but i've had issues with the dyno operators in my area. We have 2 here. One is Redline and I used to be able to get on there quite easily but now is a different story. Then there is another new one close by but he's had is own issues. So hopefully by the time this is done his will be ready.

Me too. If it weren't for this ocean between us, I'd be getting a PeteK motor too.
