LT-1 Intermittent DTC 16
Is there such a thing as an intermittent code 16 for an LT-1? My '93 has always run very well.
Last week I was driving, and the motor simply died. Fortunately, I was able to coast to a parking spot. I was helping my brother move, so the car sat for couple hours. When we were through, I was able to start it, and go home. An hour later, I tried it, and no start.
Pulled codes, and came up with a 16 - Optispark issue. Too tired, didn't do anything that evening. Got up next day, and it started and ran for a while. I let it warm up, and then shut it off. Tried again couple hours later, and the 16 was back. No start. The intermittent issue puzzles me. Sometimes it runs, sometimes not.
Am I looking for a short? Or, does the opti just need replacement, again?
