knock sensors question

knock sensors question
Working on my 1993 6 speed.Fresh engine.Ported the heads, LT4 hot cam, 1.6 roller rockers. Idles bad, original chip.
Where is the knock sensor module, of course I know where the sensors on the block are, I put them in. I heard putting in a LT4 module in will help.I believe on a 1996 LT4 the module is in the ECU.In 93 is isn't.

If you need KS adjustments ( desensitize ) it has to be done in the tune
Pulled the codes or done any data logging ?
