I'm 5'9 and am trying (through pics online) to figure out if a Hardbar would limit my visibility too much in order to be feasible. Right now, it looks like eye level for me is directly where the hardbar would mount. Anyone around my height have a Hardbar and can comment on visibility issues (or absence thereof)? Thanks!
Dave, strech a string from your shoulder belt to the other shoulder belt. If you see the string, you'll see the bar.
You might want to look at the Cross-bar, it sets lower, out of the mirror's view. It would also provide a better belt angle coming across your shoulders. http://www.r-dracing.com
Give me a call if I can answer any questions for you.

Dave's exactly right with the string method.
I'm 5'9" also and have a Hardbar. I have the factory power seat (which sits a little lower than the sport seats) in the lowest position and the hardbar doesn't block my view at all. I can see the top of the bar in the bar in the mirror, but the bottom of the rear window is above the bar in the mirror (because of the angle of my eyes to the mirror).
Thanks for the input guys. I'm actually trying to decide between the Cross-Bar and the Hardbar. Both have their positives...but one thing I am not clear about is if the Cross-bar supplies as much bracing as the Hardbar does. I won't be using belts anytime soon (gotta buy the mounting points before I can think about that), so I want the bar more for stability purposes. The cross bar would allow me to keep the seats as they are (regular power seats, all the way back) but the Hardbar looks as though it may be a stronger brace. Any input on this? Dave, I might give you a call to find out some more info on the Cross-Bar.
Thanks for the input guys...I'm sold on the Cross-Bar. :yesnod: The bar will let me keep the seats where they are now, it has 4 mounting points, Dave seems like a great guy to deal with, and you can't beat buying from a fellow forum member!
Thanks for the pic Danah (followed the url path). Looks good! I just emailed Dave and confirmed my order. Looking forward to finally reducing all the body flex with the targa out!
