My 87 Delco Bose radio has no sound from the right door speake or the right hatch speaker. The left door and hatch speakers work fine. Looking in my FSM Electronic Supplement, I see there is a relay to power up the 4 amplifiers. This must be good as the left side works. It seems strange only the right side failed, but its possible both right amplifier's have quit.
Has anyone had this problem and what was the fix ?
The fix will be indicated by finding out why there is no output on the right side speakers. See if there is 12v on the right side amplifiers, find out if there is audio input to the right side amplifiers, find out if there is audio output from the right side amplifiers and if so, find out if the speakers have low resistance. Somewhere in this chain, audio signals aren't getting to the speakers.

Thanks for your response. What should the speaker resistance typically be with no wires attached ? And how can I determine/measure if there is audio input to the amp ? Can it be read on a Digital Voltmeter ?

Speaker resistance should be very low, under 20 ohms, but if the speaker is defective you would see very high resistance or infinite resistance. Your digital voltmeter should be able to kick around a bit on a.c. volts on the input of the audio amp on its lowest voltage scale tuned to a station with audio.

Thanks for the good check out tips. I hope to tear into it this weekend. My Vette is all tucked in now for the winter.
