Default 95 Corvette no heat

Ok so the heat does not work, there is a brand new thermostat in the car, both heater oses get hot, all the HVAC settings work, but only blows cold, even when the car is as hot as it gets it only blows luke cool air. what could it be? Thanks.

It doesn't matter if the hoses are hot - coolant flows over the top of the core if it's plugged up, but not through it. If it didn't, a hose would blow or something else will fail, so either the core is plugged up, or the blend door isn't working. Check the latter first by removing the Blower Module on the left side of the Evaporator Case and looking inside at the door. It should move when the Controls are moved from hot to cold and vice versa. If not, it's moved by a gear driven motor (electronic controls) which is inside on the heater box - passenger side. More than likely the gear is stripped. If it does move, the core is plugged up and you can try to flush it. Also check the check valve on the inlet hose as it may be plugged up too.

The blend door is controlled by a small electric motor. My '95 had this problem as well, turned out to be a cold solder joint on the motor leads.

Easy fix....just remove the motor housing...located in passenger side footwell....and then you are able to move the blend door by hand to make sure it is not stuck. And by changing the temperature setting, see if the motor rotates. Trick is to be sure to get the motor and blend door back into sync. Just put the temp control all the way to either hot or cold which moves the motor and then move the blend door by hand so that it aligns.

I have a picture of the motor if you need it.

Just to repeat what everyone else has already said, it can be the blend door or the core plugged up. Both hoses being hot doesn't mean that the core isn't plugged up. On mine, I checked the blend door and it was fine, I pulled the hoses off and gave it a blast with the garden hose and have had nice warm heat ever since.
