i have a compucar nitrous in a bag dry shot system that i am about to install i was wondering has anyone used this system on a L98 motor my motor has be bored .40 over heads ported and polished hyperputic pistons siamse runners slp headers 52mm tb open air lid k&n filter 3.73 gear 2600 stahl flowmaster mufflers chip. cam .444/.444 custom chip coming soon. how much did shot? where did you where did you drill the whole.
If you've read any of my previous posts regarding nitrous you already know I'm not a big fan of dry nitrous systems. This is doubly so on cast piston motors (and hypereutectics are cast pistons). I don't trust the injectors to take the huge spike in fuel pressure that a dry kit requires. But, if you insist on going this route you can plumb your nozzle in at the air bellow in front of the throttle body. I would also add an auxilliary in-line fuel pump, an upgraded ignition, and a window switch. And I wouldn't spray over a 100 shot (dry) on a cast piston. An alternative way would be to simply sell your dry kit and buy either an NOS or a NX wet system; that way you can get away with up to 150 much safer. You'll have a plate between the plenum and t.b. and two solenoids, one for N2O and the other for fuel. The fuel side taps into the shraeder valve on the fuel rail and the solenoid injects the additional fuel when the nitrous is activated instead of relying on stock 22 lb/hr injectors trying to run at a pressure they were never designed for.

That usually indicates a lean condition... Though sometimes it will do the same thing if it's way rich; but I would probably bet the farm it's lean (BAD).

Try closing the gap on your plugs and make sure that the rest of you ignition is in good condition (wires, coil, MSD if applicable). Also look into getting plugs at least one heat range colder. I had the same problem on my LT1 Trans Am just after installing the kit and I solved it by closing the gap down on a set of colder plugs, as well as installing new performance plug wires.
i think i cured it the bottle needed some pressure so i had to heat it up to about 900 lbs and it went to work so i will see what happens i will be going to the track tomorrow.
