Default Suspension experts - overdamped/underdamped?

I have the VB&P sport setup. Read my review for the problems I've had. My question is how does overdamped and underdamped feel? I believe underdamped is bouncy, which is how mine feels. When you get into hard springs (nearly double stock), is there always going to be bounciness? Thanks.

Over dampened is where the wheel moves up over a bump and forces the car to follow; under dampened is where the wheel deflects easily over a bump but osciallates afterward.

For handling, the target is critical damping where the wheel moves up over a bump but settles back quickly to follow the contour.

With very stiff springs it's hard to determine which you have manually.

If you want to optomise your car's handling and/or understand it try Fred Puhn's book "How to Make Your Car Handle".
