Default Using 96-lt1 pcm in 94 lt1

Good Morning All:
I have been given a working 96 LT1 OBD11 pcm and was thinking of using it in my 94 LT1 OBD1 vehicle. I understand that the 94 year had dual capabilities (for testing by GM) according to Gordon Kilebrew so does anyone know if this is a feasible exchange...any issues or changes that need to be made. its a 6 spd on both of them. thanks tom

I'm pretty sure all you will need is the Crank Position Sensor and rear o2 sensors tuned out, and OBDII knock sensors to convert to OBDII.

To run a CPS in your 94 you'll need a 96 engine wire harness, a 96 timing cover, crank position sensor, reluctor ring, and a 96 balancer hub.

I think this is a nice way of telling you it is not worth either the expense or the trouble.

It's easier just to tune out the CPS, and even easier to sell the 96 PCM and buy a used 94/95 PCM for your car.
