I RECENTLY NOTICED WHEN THE CAR IS OFF, THE VOLTS GAUGE DROPS BELOW THE MARKED LINE & I'M SURE IT DID NOT DO THAT BEFORE. I ALSO SEE THAT WHEN I STOP THE CAR WITH THE TURN SIGNAL ON, THE VOLTS NEEDLE BOUNCES (slightly) IN TIME WITH THE CLICK OF THE TURN SIGNAL. IN PARK, WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED, JUST BEFORE IT FULLY DEPRESSES, THE NEEDLE TAKES A LITTLE BOUNCE & THE ILLUMINATION IN THE SPEEDOMETER DIMS FOR A SECOND.
WHEN THE LIGHTS & OTHER POWER ITEMS ARE ON, THERE IS NO PROBLEM. THE BATTERY & ALTERNATOR CHECKED OUT FINE.
SO, FIRST, CAN ANOTHER 1991 OWNER TELL ME WHERE THEIR VOLTS NEEDLE IS WHEN THE CAR IS OFF? THEN ANY THOUGHTS ON THE NEEDLE BOUNCE?
On my 91 the gauge needle moves slightly with the TS on, no movement w/brakes. When I turn the car off the needle goes past the 8 to almost pointing up. I have no problems with the car. I did put the LT1 type alt. on my car and it works well. Hope this helps!
I appreciate your input. Believe it or not, i've had the car since 1991 & never noticed this before. I've been having a problem with the abs light & have been focused on gauges & lights. I just needed to see if this was normal. Thank you for your responses.

THANKS.
Maybe one of your turn indicator bulbs has blown. That sometimes causes the electrical system to behave strangely. Seems like the TS circuit is finding an earth through your instruments.
