water pump/timing cover
Hi guys.I bought and installed a Cloyes 2 piece timing cover. The stock water pump comes up against the screws for the center piece.I filed them down and used 2 gaskets on each side of the water pump.I don't like this.Is there any water pump out there that has a little more clearance for the timing cover.Thanks in advance

Assuming you have a 92-96 LT1, I'd suggest going to the electric water pump and plug the water pump hole in the timing cover. Then you can go back to using the normal gaskets. I did mine 20K ago and think electric water pumps are better than the OEM ones.
