Re: how long does it take to change shocks? (jvesalga)
I did this last weekend on the '91. Fronts were a piece of cake. Took a little time because I was also cleaning up the upper and lower A-Arms while I was in there. I get to the left rear and couldn't get the shock off the lower mount. Tried my hardest, it wouldn't come off. Finally just unbolted the lower mount and took the whole thing off. Pulled out the hacksaw and cut throught the metal and bushing. Turned out that the metal cylinder inside the bushing had rusted itself to the lower mount. Get to the right rear thinking it would be the same and the shock almost fell off in my hand. I guess you run into those things working on a 12 year old car. :D :D

pretty easy. the only remotely difficult part was the back end, but only because the wheels had to come off. :jester Getting the rear suspension clean and shiny wasn't every easy, either! But Flitz made that half shaft shine like chrome!

I backed mine up onto my ramps. Left the wheels on! :D Took less than an hour for both sides. Save the cleaning for later. :jester
