Safely made it home with my "package".... I had more power for sure going over those hills!
Awfully nice of you to throw on that fluid damper that you had laying around!....:rofl :

I have to go out an get some heads bolts... accidently threw all my used ones out. Off hand do you know the thread size? Maybe I can just go to the hardware store.
Pete... also came up with a whole bunch of more questions for you.
And yep I'll be posting up some more pics later today!...

I need to get just four bolts and washers to bolt my crane to the shortblock to unload off the truck. Figured if I knew the thread size I'd just go to the store and get 4 #8's rather than buy a whole kit from the auto store.

My thought was right into the holes for the heads. Naturally I need to put something in between to protect the deck

I wouldn't take a chance of screwing up the deck surfaces, I would use front and back holes. Waterpump and trans holes with rags for buffer....WW

I'd use the water pump holes for at least the front...the rear may have to use a deck hole.
looks good Ed...now strap 'em on, and get a buddy a get over there to help lift it off the back of the truck.
With no heads/intake, it's not that very heavy.

Yea Ed, mine had heads and intake on it and a buddy and myself lifted it off the back of my truck. With no heads or intake you shouldn't have any problem with a friend helping..( How strong is your wife??) ....WW

BTW a little revision was made to the cam specs

230/236 duration @.050
.603 intake
.608 exhaust
Lobe seperation is 110

I still say you should have arm wrestled it off of there or let those two little dogs pull it off

Why did you decide to go with a cast rotating assembly and not forged?
