Default Need Help W/ Wiper Motor Install

Got a few issues to take care of and installing the wiper motor in my '88 is one. Does anyone have any tips and pics on how to get it in place and how it sits?

Sean, As my car is apart right now (really apart) I can get you some clear pix with out all the other stuff in the way, if you'd like. Not much to it really. Like I said in your other post, if I find the extra set of wiper bolts, I'll PM ya.

Sean,
Here is the wiper motor mounted to the firewall:

You can see a recess at the bottom where the wiper motor sits.
Here is the firewall without the wiper motor and a clear shot of the recess:

Here are the wiper bolts:

Let me know what else you need to see.

Thanks that should be a big help. In the morning Im gonna mess with it some more. Does it matter what position the arm is in? Hopefully it goes in w/o much trouble-probably just a bit** with everything else in the engine bay. Do those screws have nuts to hold them in or would it even matter as long as I find some that fit? Lastly how does the wiper attach to the arm/crank piece on the motor?

Update: Just put the wiper motor in. Was pretty easy, I just had to plug the 3 plugs in and move the arm around until in was in about the 4 O'clock position as viewed from sitting in the car. Now I just have to see if the junkyard on post has some bolts to fit. Im guessing for the wiper arms one goes on the bottom of the motor arm while the other goes on top and the 2 nuts hold it all in place?

Sean, Let me get a picture of how it attaches for you. The nuts for the bolts are captive and are inside the wiper actuating rod box. You'll see that in my next picture.

Here are the bolt captive nuts:

These are self explanatory (ignore the crud, that's part of why it's all apart):

Finally found a store that was similar to a home depot and I picked up some bolts and nuts that should work. Thanks again for the pics-once again youve been a big help!
