My temp actuator is not actuating. Is there a way to test it and can they even be found anymore? Same with the programmer. Any way to test it also? I have an 89 coupe. Thanks.

Default The fix

I found this article and did as it suggested and now my climate control works just as it should.

I just wanted to post this response in hopes it might help someone else. I hate following posts and reading to the end and not finding what the "fix" ended up being.

Good job. Too many do not follow up on the repair and the outcome

take the cover off the top of the blower housing in front of passenger firewall. It contains two or three electrical connectors that go into the resistor that is on the other side of the cover. Unplug the resistor, remove the three 7 or 8 mm screws lift the cover , have someone change temp from cold to hot, see if the door moves, it can get stuck, spray it ALL over with WD40 and you can SLIGHTLY take your hand and help it unstick from either side its on-be gentle, you can bend or break actualor rod---very bad- then the WD40 will keep it from sticking again. OR take if temp buttons are the problem, take control head apart and clean contacts with pencil eraser and contact cleaner.
