I didn't read the directions until after I installed the kit, so I'm getting what I deserve...
So far, I only did the front bushings - and they're squeaking loudly!
Can anyone with experience please answer the following:?
1. Will I damage the bushings if I disassemble them to lube now?
2. Instructions say to only grease the inner bushing and outer sleeve - is this true?
3. What kind of grease? Posts on the forum say there's something specifically made by Energy Suspension. Is this the be-all and end-all?
My last question is more involved. Some posts came back in my search about installing zerks. I'm not opposed to this at all. But...
A. How long does the grease last if I don't?
B. How does the grease get in through the zerk and on to the inner sleeve (which is what I assume is squeaking...)? Do you have to drill holes in the bushing to make this happen?

Thanks in advance to anyone with some info!

No

No, lube inside and outside.

Marine Grease

Can't tell, did mine in 2008 and still cool. It squeaks on cold weather for few minutes.

remove the poly bushings and apply grease in, out, side excess is not bad.
I've done this four times, I dont know how long you have been in this forum but, there are hundreds of threads about applying grease on poly bushings before installation.

I would follow the instructions from Energy Suspension. If these are urethane bushings, you need to use a special, thick, gooey silicone lube that is specially made for urethane. Wear gloves when you use this stuff. It is near impossible to remove from your hands and gets everywhere.
The grease should have been supplied with the parts, which is a very thick clear grease that 383vett is talking about.
will not hurt a thing to put it on now.
you would have to drill holes and tap them for the zerk fittings ,so if there not there I would not worry about them,if they start squeeking down the road just re-lube them.
grease EVERYTHING. bushing inners, bushing outers, bushing ends, bushing mounting brackets, mounting bolts, shims, anything and everything that could possibly move in relation to anything else. and the piddly amount of grease they give with the kits is nowhere near enough. Have done two cars. Zero squeeks.

yes, if he has those got to use that one but, they normally send enough to spread around your fingers. Where can he buy that "gooey silicone"?
I'm using VBP stuff and I used Marine Grease and I have no problems. I can say I put to the test my suspension at least once a month and I trust it with my life.

I bought a jar of the stuff years ago from Vette Brakes. They send you enough for a lifetime supply. Can always use it for hair gel.
Thanks, all, for the input! I'm going to lube them with Marine Grease over the weekend. I've only done the front so far - so, at least I'll only have to do the back once
