hi guys i have 1988 tpi 5.7 how do you relieve fuel pressure

............ Passenger side fuel rail near the pressure regulator there's a capped fitting with a schrader valve ( tire pressure ) cover it with a rag and press 'til it stops bleeding ...............

Pull the fuel pump fuse and crank the engine for 2 seconds.

with 383vette, this should stop the fuel flow. Then use the schrader valve on the fuel rail. Don't forget to remove the gas cap on the tank. That should have relieved all the fuel pressure.....this doesn't mean that fuel will not leak out of a disconnected line...so be aware that a line can still carry fuel.
