Looking for LT1 RR recommendations
I'm planning on getting those stamped-steel abominations out from under my rocker arm covers real quick-like, but hope to benefit from some of your experiences first. I've seen posts where people are using a 1.5/1.6 blend instead of 1.6 all around. What is the advantage of this? My understanding is that extruded aluminum is stronger, do I need extry-super-duty rockers in a fairly tame street car? What model/manufacturer? Is there a specific stud size I should be switching to, or are the stock studs ok? I've heard adjustable pushrods are not all they're cracked up to be, but should I go with some duranium-alloy units or something closer to stock? I guess what I'm asking is what has/hasn't worked for you? Thanks.
I am currently using Crane/GM LT4 1.6 RR's all around. They work very well. They are rather loud though. I think sometime I will switch to some Pro Magnums with guide plates rather than these self-aligning/non-adjustables.
