MAY FIND A NICE USED GM TECH 2 SCANNER ON EBAY.
5,000 + GM DEALERSHIPS HAVE CLOSED DOWN SINCE THE USA RECESSION BEGAN.
LIKELY THEN 10,000 SOME TECH 2 SCANNERS OUT THERE FOR YOU TO CHOOSE FROM TO MAKE YOUR OWN.
MOST GM DEALERSHIPS HAVE TWO TECH 2 SCANNERS.
ONE IN USE IN SERVICE SHOP AREA.
ANOTHER FOR BACKUP IN CASE THE THE WORKHORSE TECH 2 SCANNER FAILS SUDDENLY OUT OF THE BLUE, AND RARELY HAS THAT EVER OCCURED.
I AM A FORMER GM MASTER MECHANIC. HOW I KNOW THIS INFO.

OBDII Scanner
I tell ya, I like the Rev2. It is an app loaded to my Ipod Touch. Not IPhone. You will also need a Kiwi PDL device (google it). The reason I use this is I can charge my Ipod, and use my Ipod for something other than a MP3 device. Again, look on google for all its uses, I love mine and leave it in my 96 Ce, It also has a track mode.

I have an Autoxray 6000, this isn't up to the Tech 2 standards but is still a nice scanner and can do both OBD 1 and 2 cars. It give real time readout and the scan can also be downloaded to your computer. These run about $400.00 and are a nice scanner for the money,Im very happy with mine.Good Luck..WW
