Default valve cover hose removal?

What are the pro/cons of removing the passenger side valve cover vent hose that goes to the TB and capping it off at TB with a filtered style breather in the valve cover? I assume it is pulling crancase gases into the TB? Is the negative pressure needed or can it just vent?

Flow is actually opposite of your perception, the hose supplies filtered air from the throttle body to the crankcase as the inlet side of the PCV system in normal operation. If blowby exceeds what the PCV valve can handle, the flow reverses allowing crankcase gases to enter the throttle body through the hose.
Since your 92 is a speed density system changing the supply hose has the potential to cause fuel metering issues or high idle.

Probably be alright on a SD system because the MAP sensor should register change in intake vac.

Problem arises on MAF cars because PCV air to rocker cover from TB port is metered through the MAF 1st.
If you run a breather direct on the cover then that is un metered air into the engine that the ECM does not know about

I would say that if you want to remove the hose, do both and block them off or don't do it at all.

Need to let crankcase gases purge.
If you are going to be rough; just run open breathers on both covers and clean up the oil off rocker covers regularly

Sorry. Fast fingers. I meant to say that you vent the valve covers and block off the barbs going to the manifold.

Why are you considering eliminating the vent hose? You changing valve covers? You want little mushrooms spouting out of the covers?
