A friend has some QA1's ,selling at a killer price, only problem they're off of a 93 camaro. He's sent pictures and they look like they will fit. Anyone know of an interchange book for those or where I could call to find out, many thanks, Bob
thats kinda the problem, he's a young person and didnt keep his paperwork, from his pic's I cant see one, I'm actually hoping he wont find out that they will fit a corvette till after I have them on my car or at least in my greasy hands

Those QA1s are a very nice damper, and well worth going after. Here are a few ideas.
Unless you are going to drag race your car, make certain these QA1s are not the ones manufactured specifically for DRAG. Completely different animal from the sport/road race variety!
Summit Racing 800-230-3030 handles a lot of these QA1s, and their TECHNICAL (not sales) department can probably cross-reference fit based on the Year of the seller's car, to your C4.
Contacting the seller again, ALL these things have Model#s and Serial#s stamped right on the shock bodies. Someplace like Summit will be able to tell from Model# whether they will work.
If all else fails, determine if the mounting ends, including the eye, will fit your C4's attachment points. Then have the seller, take a few measurements:
[1] Length with shaft fully extended.
[2] Length with shaft fully compressed.
[3] Outside diameter of the shock body (for clearance reasons).
[4] How far UP from the bottom is the location of the adjustment ****. (for clearance reasons)
If the mid-point between the fully extended and the fully compressed measures within an inch of your current shocks as they sit on the car, the length will work for you.
Hope this helps,
Ed
PS: I just noticed the "coilover" part of your thread - are there springs involved too?
