For the 398 CID build I'm into, I'm consider using piston rings I haven't used before and am hoping someone has used them and will give me some feed-back on them.
They're: Speed-Pro R-19100s and Perfect Circle 315-0036
I'm going to write this last part, even though I know up-front that it won't be heeded, but I'm only looking for feed-back on those two rings. Not alternate/substitute recommendations like "You should use blah, blah, blah". PLEASE!
I'm not sure of the exact part numbers, but I use Speed Pro file fit moly rings, or the perfect circle file fit moly rings. I think either one is top quality.
I have the exact parrt numbers. They differ a bit depending on where they're advertised. 844-R19100.045 Vs R19100-45 Vs ZR19100, etc. for the HellFires. These do have the SS-50 oil rings, which are my favorites.
PCR-315-0036.045, etc., for the Perfect Circle versions.
Another member sent me a msg saying the R19100s are harder on the cylinder walls which is something I definitely don't want.
Two totally different rings for totally different applications. The perfect circle top rings have moly filled ductile iron top rings for normally aspirated applications while the Speed-Pro Hell Fire rings are hardened ductile iron rings with no moly for supercharged on Nitrous applications

Your link is to the condolences and does not address the Op's question. I read the five pages and while I certainly wish to extend my deepest condolences to the family I was simply attempting to answer the Op's question about the differences between the two manufacturer types he is asking about here.

Are you referring to the statement in the Op's original post offering contact info for anyone needing more details about the engine build? Not sure I need more details to answer the Op's question about rings. He says he is only looking for feedback concerning those two ring types which I provided. My answer is each type is for a different intended purpose. The OP knows whether his build will be supercharged on Nitrous or naturally aspirated. Based upon my answer the OP now knows if he is planning to install a supercharger the Perfect Circle rings would probably not be the best choice between the two for that type of application.

Yeah it's been a bummer. I was just going over some PM's Jake and I have had over time. Looking for the recent one's so I can get a "heads up" how, what, where, when Ryan's going to go to finish the motor.
