Default Will I need to re-program since...

Hello everyone, I recently purchased an eagle stroker kit for my '88 L98, I will be using the LT4HOTCAM, retaining the factory TPI intake, port factory heads, 1.6 r.r's. The car has a 700R4 tranny(shift kit), 3:27 rear, headers, all emission hardware has been removed, do not need to pass smog test, flowmaster exhaust, removed cats, my question is after the engine is installed, will the factory chip be able to handle the new cam etc. Will I need to get it re-programmed?

I needed one on my car ... 383 with the hotcam and 1.6 rockers. The 383 takes away from the bad idling effects of the cam too, so with a 350 it will be worse. I had to throw it in neutral at lights on the drive home from the shop until I could get the programming squared away.

Find someone on the forum who has a similiar setup in an 87-89 car and is happy with their chip. Use that one. These cars are hard to setup correctly because the engine can outflow the MAF in some situations. The TPI is too small for the HOT cam. I recommend that you use a smaller cam or change the intake.
