I am having problems with the CCM not Talking to the ECM and I am currently working on the (Tan wire Data buss)checking for shorts or loose connections. I saw a Vats bypass that sends the signal to the ECM to enable injectors (not the Key resistor Type ) It says it can be used on TPI engines used on hot rods when a BCM/CCM is not present . My question is can I use this as a bandaide to make my car run until i find the underlying problem? Anyone out there had experience with one of these modules?
Well my code is a C41 which I know is a loss of data between CCM and ECM but if this module will send signal to ECM to fire injectors without there even being a CCM what other communication would there need to be between CCM and ECM
they make a 'vats' eliminator, but its the same ,maby it'll work maby not, have you checked the resistance in your key? They also sell a 'resistor' kit for bout $4.00 online that does the same as the vats bypass.
This is not the key resistor bypass I am talking about this is a module that wires into the ECM circuit 229 and sends a signal to ECM to enable injectors .I am just curious as to whether or not this is the only signal that the ECM needs from the ccm
having done both key bypass and the iliminator, I can honestly tell you that the money and time spent trying to work arround and then eliminate the Vats would have been better spent making the vats work , which I finally did, my 2c's

DTC 41 in question is not key resistance problem;
is as stated , a well documented Comms problem between ECM and the CCM ( which your car doesn't have )
