Default Optispark, here we go again.

Have problems, presumable with my optispark. Please see the thread with the "Optispark here we go again" title in the Scan and Tune section for C4 and reply on either thread. Thanks

I just fired up my '96 tonight after getting the sinuses cleared out of her by Elliot's porting job. While doing the work I installed the dynaspark. Although the OEM opti was working OK, I discovered that after 60k miles on it, there was some play with the rotor. The dynaspark fired right up and purred like a kitten this evening. I wish tomorrow was gonna be better weather to take her down off the jack stands for the first time in a few weeks.

I read your post in Scan & Tune. Intermittents are the most frustrating to diagnose. Why don't you leave the replacement coil in for a longer period of time to see if it acts up? At this point, you can't infer that you do not have a coil issue. Also, with the car running, wiggle the low voltage coil wiring to see if you can create a hiccup.
