conversion wiring issues-please help
i'm converting my 84 cease fire to tpi. have an 85 harness and can resolve most compatibility issues except for the following:
in the under dash area there are both a 15 pin and 8 pin connector.
on the 8 pin connector, pin E the 84 circuit is titled "vehicle elapsed time" (circuit # 421)while on the 85 harness the same pin is "fan request" (circuit # 992). is there a need to maintain this circuit or can i just cut the wire and insulate it?
also on the 8 pin, pin F of the 84 harness is labeled "Air conditioning clutch"(circuit # 59) and the coresponding location on the 85 harness indicates blank or no pin/circuit according to the gm shop manual. is this where the ecu finds out if the a/c is on to bump up the idle speed? since the shop manual does not identify any other lead as a/c clutch sensing can this pin be left in place or must it be cut and insulated?
on the 15 pin connector, pin B the 84 circuit is identified as "tps & coolant temp sensor" (circuit # 452) and the corresponding 85 pin is identified as "coolant fan" (circuit # 935) how should this crossover be dealt with?
