I priced the wiring harness, and it would be about $975 through www.currentperformance.com. CP also said that if a handheld programmer is made for the computer you're going to use then you can use it. No more removing and burning chips! Awesome!
I know there's an adapter for a 700R4 to the LS motor, but i'm not sure about the 6spd. At least you have the D44 rearend.
After pricing the parts this is VERY competitive with building a high performance 1st gen SBC. I'm already sniffing around for a pull-out motor and harness. I have an '85 so this guide is exactly what i'm going to use.
