Interesting.... I would have thought the 383 would generate more heat due to the longer stroke and faster piston speed. Mine SEEMS like it's generating more heat than before but I didn't own the OEM 350 until it had 14k miles on it. Newer motors obviously run hotter.
OTOH, it sat for 3yr w/o running. Maybe the radiator needs "boiled out"...or at least a double-dose Prestone flush.
The OP's radiator looks pretty good -- especially for the price. Between the 2-row and the 3-row options (~$250 options) mentioned, it would be interesting to know which (if either) is more efficient. Some 2-row manufacturers argue 3-row radiators are a gimmick.
I'm sure the Dewit is a better piece but more $$$ doesn't always mean better performance. I wanted to share for those that were looking for a stock replacement. To me, if you have a pretty stock car you can't beat this price.
Are we sure the reliable radiator is not american made? Nothing on the box or the radiator said "Made in China" so are we just making assumptions because it's cheaper or is that a known fact?
Didn't mean to start a vendor challenge here nor did I say this was a replacement for a top $ piece. Just showing what can be had for a reasonable price.
To answer the question about fit. I had to trim the rubber pieces but it all fit fine. AC cond fit in as well.

That's good news. I had to replace my condenser when I installed the Dewitts. Chevy switched to a thinner condenser mid way through the production. Mine was the thicker model.
