87 Charging Problem - Alternator Fine

Charging Problem Fixed. 
I pulled the telltale panel out of the dash with all the wires connected and could see that terminals 14 and 15 were wired to the lower left hand socket (as per other members posts). I then removed a socket and bulb from a less important position (hatch ajar) and installed it in the lower left hand corner.
Turned the ignition ON, wiggled the bulb and ON the bulb came. It is now charging happily at 13.6 volts.
Now I know why I have been getting flat batteries for the last 18 months. I had noticed the battery volts were low but I had more urgent issues to attend to.

Probably should get a proper 87 lens to tidy up the display and stop further confusion.
