Default L98 Bracket Position???

Anyone know where this bracket would go on a 1988 L98 engine? We are thinking it came off the power steering pump, but cannot make the ends meet up to anything.
Pictures would be a major help.

Thanks,

It looks like the alternator bracket but that's not threaded on the ends.

do I win a prize since I could see the picture?

Thanks for moving the picture to the thread. Who needs a prize when you get a sense of accomplishment?

The alternator bracket that goes to the stud on the exhaust manifold is on the engine already, and you are correct it has no threads.

I beleive this bracket bolts onto a short piece of angle iron, but I can't figure out the other end. we took the engine out for a rebuild two years ago and didn't take a picture of this area.

Thanks for any help.

On my '89 I think there is a similiar bracket under the A/C compressor, passenger side. I can double check tonight when I get home if you do not get something definitive before that.

All,
Thanks for the help. Right or wrong the bracket lines up well with the top, front, driver side engine mount bolt. I needed a longer bolt, but it fits well.

Thanks again for the quick help.
