unstable idle during warmup - fixed!
My new 383 has been running great except for the warm up. I tried different combinations of air and fuel enrichment but nothing really worked. It just seemed really cold blooded.
Earlier this week I was data logging the start up process and noticed that the spark advance was dropping way back to about 9 degrees. That was really weird. The only place in my spark advance table with those values is at low rpm and really high load.
Checking on the Third Gen forum I saw that this issue had been talked about and addressed by changing the spark advance table.
I upped those values in my spark advance table to 20.04 degrees and all of my warm up problems went away.
I thought someone else might be having the same issue. It's one of those things that sort of bugged me, but was only an issue during warm up and more of a problem in the winter.
