Default new member tech?

I am not new to engine performance i am however new to lt1 engines I have built several high performance gen 1 sbc but have only done regular maintenace on my 92 Corvette i have had the car for some time and am getting a little bored with it i drive it at most 3-4 times per year it has about 140,000 miles on it i have considered building a gen1 engine and just running carburation but i have been told by a buddy of mine that the lt1's have a lot of potential i would like to put about 450 hp to the wheel naturaly asperated how strong is the factory block and crank and can you port a stock intake to using after market heads to build this kind of power or would you have to run a tunnel ram setup any additional info would help or links to websites or other thraeds to read about building lt1 engines would greatly be appreciated.
thanks,
Will

bore & stroke (383 or 396)
I forget the after market heads - do a search (I think it was the AFR)
Cam to match, port the heck out of the intake, TB to match

That should get you there
