I have a acrylic back window and fiberglass deck lid as shown on the Perf Corvette web site at http://www.c5racer.com/catalog/corve...corvettes.html
I got my Vette used with the conversion already done and it doesn't seem to close like it should. I have been trying to find out about why and have checked with both of the above but have not been able to find out what the problem is. It looks like the latch extends further down than it should by about 1/2 in.; i.e., the back of the lid is up about 1/2 in. Also, it is not connected to the window portion so it does not really raise like a trunk would be expected. You have to take it all the way off to get into the trunk area. Seems strange to work like this.

I don't know if you can buy just the window. I replaced my whole top in '99, got it from Eckler's. Both the top and the conversion kit. Had a top shop do the work. Also replaced the weatherstripping at the same time. About $1,200.
