Default 86 coupe exhaust problem

I'm replacing the exhaust on my 86 coupe, auto, and can't find the exhaust center bracket, the bracket that hangs over and connects to the center catalytic converter and helps holding the center of the exhaust system up.

Did they change the part, or maybe found it isn't needed? I have looked everywhere and haven't found it listed anywhere, and want to make sure the exhaust is as high up as possible so it doesn't get caught on anything and get ripped off.
Can anyone help me out with some info?
Thanks,
bryan

I installed a LTl exhaust on my 86. I had to change all the hanger brackets to do it. I am pretty sure I still have the original one off of my 86. If you need one let me know and we will work something out.

I'm assuming the mount you are talking about is the center one that mounts to the transmission. It clamps to the Y pipe just in front of the cat. There is also a heat shield attached to the top of the hanger.

This hanger appears to hold quite a bit of weight. I can't imagine running without it.

I can send you a picture of it if you PM me your email address.

I'm guessing this mount was used from 1884 to 1991.

glava2876 has the one I'm talking about, and PAINTER MAN says he has one from his 86 that he isn't using that he would sell me, so I won't be without one.
But here is the million dollar question I just gotta know, if you couldn't find an old one to use, what would you do?
Did GM just decide to leave their C4 vette owners hangin in the breeze. I haven't seen one listed in any parts manual or any parts house. Would a Chevy dealer have it? This has my curiosity boilin now and I have to find the answer, I mean, if I brought it to the dealer for the exhaust and the old hanger wasn't there, like my car where it's rusted all away almost, what would they do?
What would they put there?
Has anyone else lost theirs, I mean the car is 25 years old, I wouldn't think I'm the only schmuck that needs one. Do they use the next newer style one somehow, or is that old style part available somewhere?
Can anyone give me more info, I can't sleep at night, I see rusted hangers when I close my eyes, and when I do dream it's of Chevy dealerships but the out to lunch sign is in the window, and the clock in the sign has no hour hand.
