just ordered a HD alternator

Trying to put it off, but it finally died all together.
CS144 aren't exactly cheap! :mad
I got the 200amp alternator from http://www.alternatorparts.comsince I'll be adding an electric waterpump, and I run the fans alot at the track.
I was going to order the dualrectifier unit but I'd have to fabricated a different bracket to get the second external rectifier to fit.
If if fails again, they said I could send it back and upgrade.
Here's hoping it won't be necessary.

Logged on and found that it's in state for delivery, finally :mad
Went out this afternoon telling someone, "I still waiting for the UPS tru..."
Look down as I'm openning the door at said box.
Nice for them to knock!!
Anyways, bolted it in, though not quite in the same manner as stock
The one on the car had a hole threaded to accept a torx head bolt.
I put the bolt into the new one and it passed straight through!
NO THREADS
Fortunately I had a bolt that was long enough and the right diameter, along with the appropriate nut to go on the back.
Needless to say there getting a phone call tomorrow.
Not that I'm waiting another week for a replacement.
I'll perform an autopsy on the old one tomorrow. :D
Need to find out if it overheated, what I think happened, or if it overspeed.
If so, I'll put an underdrive pulley on the new one.
Only missed ...
