57 LT w/4l60E

OK My first post. I have 57 Chevy with a 06 LT-1 w/4L60E. I am pretty sure the motor tranny is from a 1996 Corvette since it has a crank sensor ????

I have pulsating problem with tranny shifting from low to second at minor throttle. At full throttle and manuel shifting no problem at all.

I asked my local dealer where I bought a new Grand Sport and the service manger told me he could not help without a VIN of Corvette the engine and tranny came from.

OK Here is a start to my problem any hope or help without a VIN ?

Maybe not .
IIRC
All OBDII engines ('96+ ) had the crank sensor.
What side was the accessory drive on when you got engine?

Should have partial VIN # on the block pad in front of pass side head
All Vette LT1's have a 3 letter engine suffix starting in "Z" in same position

96 LT1 auto ; ZXA
96 LT4 :ZXD

I found VO425YSH Is there more ??????

YSH ; not a Vette LT1
Block should have 327 cast in the side to rear of engine mount
If it has alum heads it is out of a F-Body.Same as Vette engine but 2 bolt mains
If it has cast heads it is out of a B -Body
