Default Engine Plans - opinions please!

I'm working up a plan to freshen up the now stock engine in my '93 this spring. I definitely want to keep it street-able first and foremost. I don't drag or autocross. Just freshening up a bit.

My plan is as follows. Please fill in any blanks you may see:

Lloyd Elliot LE1 heads
Port match stock LT1 Intake
1.6 Roller Rockers
replace timing chain
Opti/water pump/plugs/wires changed last summer so, they are fine

I know I should change the following to take advantage of the above mod's:

Injectors? (please advise on recommended size?)
Cam? (I know about nothing when it comes to cam selection)
Tune? (I know I should get a proper tune to take advantage of the mods above).

I am also thinking I will go with 4.11 gears (it's a 6 speed).

**One caveat** - I am talking to a company in CA about a job. There is a remote possibility I may end up moving out there. Is there any way to do these mod's and keep it Smog legal? Maybe keep stock injectors/don't get crazy and, do a mild cam? Would that still pass the sniffer?

Thanks,

Buy LE's matching cam

# 224/230 .573/.568 112 LSA. – 1700-6100 RPM
Largest emissions friendly cam. Pretty mild idle and still able to work with stock gears
and factory converter in F or Y body. Comparable
to GM Hot Cam and Crane 846 cam.

Thanks rodj - I should probably reiterate a little bit. I agreed to purchase the heads before the opportunity in CA came up. I have since paid for the heads so, at a minimum they are going on the engine.

California is 50/50 right now. I'm supposed to travel out in about a month to visit. We do not have emissions in my current state.

To benefit the heads and cam should I look into new injectors as well?

Would larger injectors be worth it with an emissions legal tune?

Anything else I should consider doing that is not on my list?

Thanks again,

Any mod that's visible has to have a CARB sticker to be legal in Cal. You can get by with a cam if its not too obvious. I have a Hotcam in my 86 and it passes smog no problem.
