Hello; New to the site, so this may be in the wrong section but any help/advice given would be appreciated.
I have a 1996 C4/6speed/lt1, right now it has about 15k on the counter... all orginal recently I started have starting issues.....
By that I mean, sometime it will rumble to life on the first turn of the key other times I have to do 2-3 attempts, where it just spins over and over but dont start.... Eventually it always start up but it's gone from doing it on the first turn to often times taking 2-3 tries..
Any suggestions?

Engines require spark, fuel, air, and cylinder compression in order to start and continue to run. Since your engine does eventually start, you need to still check for the fundementals and a number of other things that cause hard starting. I'd start with downloading any stored error codes and I would use a code reader during starting to see if anything is amiss. Weak spark, leaky injector/s, clogged air filter, defective MAF are things to check too.
Sounds great, at least I have a place to start now. Im hoping it's NOTHING serious since once the car starts it performs like a champ. Gets great gas mileage.
In fact, to be honest I enjoy driving it a lot more than my G8 GXP.
