Default Hurst Line Lock Install question>

I have a Hurst line lock I am going to instll on my 89..

The question I have is do I need to use Teflon paste or Tape on any of the fittings? all the lies are double flared, I si don't think I need to one them but I was mainly concerned with the fittings on the line lock module itself..

Thanks

I used liquid teflon on the threads going into the body of the linelock. The flare fittings need no sealant. If they leak it is a bad flare.

Use thread sealant (paste or tape, I prefer paste) on any tapered "pipe" threads. Here that means the fittings that screw into the linelock body. As you've said, the rest are flares that seat on the faces and do not use any thread sealant.

Help me with this... Does a C4, 1994 to be exact, have metric threads? Any additional parts or adapters needed to install? Thanks,
Al

I bought the Hurst fitting adapter kit # 567-1515, I used the one fitting on the front barke line, then cut the Stock line and reflared it with a fitting to fit on the line lock
Her is mine installed (but not wired yet)

A very elegant way to mount on later cars such as your '94 is in the ABS compartment where the front line enters the ABS module. It can be done in such a way as to not permanently alter any original lines, simply requiring a jumper line to be made and in that location- special metric fittings are needed. Marc Haibeck has this all sorted out, and I believe offers kits with all the necessary fittings. I bought a kit from him long ago and just installed it last year- you'd never know I have linelock and the install was very smooth. Email me if you need his info.
