Default Lt1 Crank Hub question

I regasketed the LT1 in my 95 Z28, and I didn't reinstall the crankshaft hub pointing in any particular way, since there was no keyway. Would this cause a vibration? The car is done now and it seems a little shaky at high rpm, but it's been months and I can't remember how it was before.

Also, how do you install it correctly?

Yes I'm pretty sure it makes a difference how it is installed, the arrow on the balancer should be pointing up (12 o clock position) when the number one cylinder is at TDC. you can reestablish this by removing the dr. side valve cover and turning the engine over until you see the intake valve on the no. 1 cyl closing, that means it is at TDC when the valve completely closes then you can remove the hub and reinstall it with the arrow pointing straight up, that will be close enough. I just checked the FSM and this is the correct way to install the balancer.

Are the vibrations gone? Did you fix the hub per FSM? I am going through the same problem after I replaced all my seals on the tc, please let me know. Thanks
