I was washing my 96 and when I was drying the door jambs and doors I accidently pushed in the door latch and now I can't get it to release! I'm now unable to close the door. I've tried using the key to unlock manually, and I've tried using the remote without any luck. I did a search and it doesn't look like anyone is as dumb as I am, there were no results. Thanks for your help!
I assume you mean the part on the jam that closes around the pin on the body?
If so, easy. Make certain the door is unlocked, then using something solid, pull firmly towards the inside of the door on the clasp itself (you are pretending to be the pin on the cars body) and "open" the door like normal using either the door handle or the inside door handle.
The clasp needs the pressure of a door and its weather stripping to flip open. Once it releases for you it should be fine.

Have to use the internal handle,if you could use the ext handle car wouldn't be able to be locked
I'm assuming it isn't a locking issue but that he closed the striker clasp. If that's what he's done then the car doesn't know it isn't engaged on the pin and can be locked on top of his current issue. If he means something else then hopefully he chimes back in with a better description.

How many times did you have to close the door before you realized what happened. My son at age 7 , was helping me wash the cars and somehow pushed that closed also. I must have slammed the now EX's car 10 times before I realized it.

Did you break her door and then she filed for the "D"?
